Book synopsis from the publisher:

Our Review:

The First Escape is a combination of regular novel and graphic novel. Each chapter contains both written and novel pages. While I’m not a great fan of graphic novels, I found that this style did not detract from the reading or enjoyment of the story.

We all found the artistry in this book to be amazing! Also, while each book in this series is connected, the books easily read as stand alone stories.

I have to report that both of my boys and I LOVED this book. They have raced on to reading the second book and are eagerly awaiting the third book in the series!

Each of the boys said they really liked the graphic novel parts along with the “regular” reading. They shared that the story is full of action, fun and just a bit scary. Each of them agreed that this book was a ”great read!”

My Review:

Excellent book! This book is well written and engaging. It took me a bit to really get into the story but once I did, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It’s a story about love, faith and forgiveness while wrapped up in suspense and mystery. My reading recommendation? Four stars!

Our Review:

Our whole family reviewed this jumble book and while it was interesting, we didn’t fully enjoy the experience. The jumbles seemed to be a level that was above the average age it was intended for – ages 9-12. Our boys lost interest in it after a few tries. On a positive note, we learned a lot of history from our Bible while working on these puzzles!

My Thoughts:

It took me a bit of time to get into this book but I’m glad I stuck it out ~ it was well worth the wait.! It has action, suspense, faith and intrigue all rolled into one great book. I can hardly wait to read the other series!
